General Job Description:

The primary focus of this ministry is to:

a) draw young adults and families into the church

b) build up circles of Christian Education ministries for /with Young Adults & Families.

Qualifications:

· BA and years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Background in a faith community / knowledge of how churches function

· A living and vital relationship with God

· Good communication skills

· Familiarity with current technology and social networking trends

· Good skills / experience with creating, facilitating, and developing Christ-centered groups

· Ability to work easily with all age groups; primarily with children, young adults [post- high school] and adults with families

· Some course work in Bible and / or Christian Education

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

· Work 40 hr week – 4 hours would be Sunday mornings.

Remaining hours may be spread throughout the week with at least two evenings available for possible meetings.

· Work with Senior Pastor, Resource Teams and other lay ministry teams to help create an on-going and effective Christian Education ministry for children and youth, young adults and families

a. young children team

b. middle/high school team

c. young adults team

· Work with lay people to develop their ministries of teaching

· Organize on-going events for families

· Develop and promote programs of interest to young adults in Bellevue urban area

· Work with other staff to provide or link to age level retreats /summer camps / confirmation retreats / CONVO /Seattle District Leadership Team
