Hi all

We are very tired!!! It is 2 in the afternoon and the staff is wrapping things up for the Easter weekend. We packed 3200 health kits this week and today unloaded a semi full of supplies. We also cleaned and organized the backlog of supplies from the hurricane rush of donations. We inventoried medical supplies and some of us worked in the sewing room making school bags.

Steve and Wayne delivered another truck load of cleaning supplies to New Orleans. It's been a small group here this week, only 33 people total, but the staff said we did the work of 150. We learned a lot about Spam, as the other group here is from Austin, MN, Spam capital of the world. The cook here is a Creole woman who told us the history of the Cajuns and the Creole people and shared some recipes. By the way the food has been outstanding.

Tomorrow the staff has the day off, so we are going to go to the 9th Ward of New Orleans to see the area that had the worst damage from Katrina.

It's been such a wonderful experience that we are planning on returning next year and hope many of you will join us as they can accomodate 130 volunteers at a time.

See you on Easter Sunday.
