Go Out Into the World

"What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

Methodists are known for their service to others, and FUMC-B is no exception! Working to relieve suffering and end hunger locally, regionally, and globally, we go out into our community to serve in many different ways

  • from feeding residents of Tent City to global disaster relief through the United Methodist Committee on Relief,
  • from inviting homeless children to our Vacation Bible Adventure to hosting homeless encampments, and
  • from collecting coins on the third Sunday of every month for King County Emergency Feeding to volunteer mission trips in Africa, Mexico, and Haiti.

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in person, through prayer, and/or through monetary donations. No one person can do everything, but all of us together can make a tremendous difference in the world. As we change the world, we too are changed.

A list of the many partners with whom we work is available on our website.
